Great video. Different from when I saw them at Campus Club in Blacksburg, Va. back in '83 (all 200 of us in a 75-person bar, LOL), but still excellent. BTW, their name is derived from a common grade-school insult from the '70s. Not pretty, but it was supposed to indicate their alienation from mainstream society and repressed desire. Don't mean to upset anyone with this explination, but that's the deal.

It isn't important of course -> but I can say 4 certain that the bassist at least is not gay. Personally seen him deep french two women who made it on stage at concerts and hit heavily on a TV reporter during a live interview during thier "why do birds sing" era tour. She was clearly interested BTW - they looked like they couldn't wait get the interview and daytime street gig where it was filmed over so they could get naked ;o).

I want to marry this song!! This eye is my favorite of theirs by far!! I just hit repeat over and over and over....and yes, the best lyric, is, "nothing I can say when I'm in your thighs". I LOVE THE VIOLENT FEMMES LIKE A FAT KID LOVES FUDGE!!!

Wow - cannot believe that this discussion can go on and on in this day. Is it because they have'Femmes'in thier name. I'm wondering how old the questioner is and if we should just start geriatic bashing now. Queen was a gay band and who knew it back in the 70'. Oh heck - they're all artist and all gay. Hmm - Do I sound stupid? Guess it's the company. If you have to open your mouths say something important. The internet isn't a place to spew your garbage - Intellegent aliens might be reading it.

First of all, he isn't singing like a dying cat (learn to spell). Also, the way someone sounds should never tell you if they are gay or not. I have been told that I sound gay before (I'll admit that), but I most certainly am not. How someone sounds doesn't mean anything. |
