You ride with the seat high for full leg extension and to better control the rear suspension at times. I keep my seat a little lower though on the dh to though; its just safer. Sometimes the seat will hit you in the ss and send you straight over the bars if your not using clip-in pedals.

great video, just one question...I don't get it!!! Some of the riders (3:30 and on) have there seats up pretty high, I'm not as good as they are but how on earth can they ride like that with the seat that high? (nearly all the crashes are riders flipping over the handlebars, I think its becauses of the seats being right there)
