Jowinkler, a woman always represents a church, a beast always represents a civil authority in Revelation 13, the papacy is not particularly referred to as a church entity but as a civil authority in revelation 17, the time setting for which is 1798 (Rev. 17:3), we have the separation of religious and secular authority for the papacy, thus the emergence of a woman (church) figure, which is riding upon the beast (civil authority), which will again predominate once the 8th king comes.

Tom, that is not the case, the fact is Jesus Christ said "I am the way the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father except by Me". No one else can save us, we all have the permission to come to the Lord directly through Jesus. And the fact is this is the only way He will accept us!

i believe it said, "the 8th king, WHICH IS ALSO ONE OF THE SEVEN" will be the one that goes into perdition...and it would make sense to be john paul II , because he was the most popular, loved, and followed after out of our generation...this is a trip. i definetly do not doubt this possibility and this interpretation of prophecy

So the woman riding beast has to be vatican city. She is a city, Rev17 v 18.The beast is the churchThe 7 heads are heads of the church. kings.One of the 7 will come back.Confused now as it says the beast itself is the 8th king. can you explain.
