I don't think he should be called overrated. The fact that he is much more famous than caruso and lanza to the majority doesnt mean hes overrated. I think its just that Pav is more recent compared to Lanza. I wasn't around but Lanza must've been extreamley popular himself few decades ago.

Lanza is not a baritone; his voice is diverse, much more so than Pav. This is a lackluster performance when compared to Lanza's thunderous rendition. Pav did not have the voice nor the passion to sing this. He's overrated when compared to the legends.

Con mis respetos para Pavarotti pero no me gusta nada como canta esta canción. Escuchen a Alfredo Kraus, es el mejor tenor y canta esta canción mejor que nadie.

Hey Crapface,This is an excellent performance by Pavarotti,he's a tenor. Lanza is a baritone, his sounds different, not better. Apples and oranges.

Great performance, but this is one of the few songs where I prefer Domingo to Pavarotti. |
