its just you, the moter and rear are meant to fly apart diminishing the force of impact, this is not a good example then again this is back 18 years ago and he hit an un pretected corner of concrete and the roll cage couldnt do anything, but also you see like indy cars seams like they stay together more but really they just dont have as mmuch parts flying and they have harder impacts buecase the car is so small and has not much to diminish the force of impace

is it just me or are nascar racecars particularly weak built? I watched some vids here on routube and it seems like they get ripped apart really easily. WRC cars in comparison always stay in one piece, no matter how hard the crash is ...

Wow.Unfortunately I know exactly how Darrell felt. My brother was in an accident less than a mile from my house. I actually walked up to the accident, horrified. The front end was missing and the back of the bed was twisted up from the force of the impact.I had to verify that it was his truck. I was only 14 at the time.Seeing Darrell's reaction definitely provoked some raw emotion :(.Don't know how the hell Michael lived through that, but I'm glad he did.

10TC55, This wreck is one of the most famous in NASCAR history, there is even a NAPA Auto Parts commercial about it, stating it's in Bristol. Oh, and I live near Bristol... You can take my word for it, this is BRISTOL. Listen to Bob Jenkins again, CLOSELY. You'll hear it...On another note, this video really brings me back to when NASCAR was awesome. Back when it was all about racing, not some huge corporate whore entity like it is now. |
