For a newbie with no throttle control, no balance and a bad perception of speed, a 600 can be a deathwish, let alone a 1000. That said, damn they're fun.

Depends on what you want to do with the bike. My first bike was a CBR600, becasue i commute in city alot and occasionally go on motorways its ideal for me. Sometimes i do wish i had a smaller bike in the city but ill be eating dust on the motorway.

it depends on what you want to do , id rather have a 600 unless im on the freeway. its lighter , more agile , somewhat quicker off the line. 1000s are dangerous in the corners if you dont know what your doing.

o shut up man u dont no shit man im 16 and iv been riding a 2001 yamaha r1 and i took a class for a day and learned on a 250 and i jumped to a 1000 and its easy no one listen to this guy ,if you wanna get a 1000 for ur first do it there better then 600 this guy doesnt no what hes talkin about!!!!!

No. There are some BMW/Goldwing-typish tourers that have automatic (and even reverse).

thats a new feature for that bike and im pretty certain no one else has nething like it heard it was kinda cool specially in traffic and such my friend said it was nice to dial it down in C so he didnt haft try so hard to go slow lol |
