I see two errors he made:first one was to decide to have the roadrunner for breakfast and the second was he got up that morning! LOLI wonder how much of a bill he had built up at the ACME company? LUMSH (laughing until my sides hurt)

I'm sorry for the confusion. Even it one had been made, it would've only been seen by a few people at the studio anyway for evaluation prior to the decision to turn it into a featurette. We can only assume it probably had it's own opening and closing credit sequence that are lost to the ages. I had seen both those cartoon extracts on TV for years, not knowing the truth over what they were at all or why they seemed so different from the rest.

You're missing the point: "Adventures of the Road Runner" is slightly different than the pilot for "The Road Runner Show" (1962), which is the original version. I wish we could see the original, but it isn't available. For the record, the two short (butchered) versions are "Zip Zip Hooray" and the cartoon posted here, "Road Runner A Go Go". Not anymore, it was released on DVD in one of the "Golden Collection" box sets (under it's "Adventures of the Road Runner" theatrical release).
