Oh, i also forgot to say that I think your videos are very helpful and i hope that you can post more to help "us" (the people who are clueless) how to do some simple bird dog training! :)

Wow! I watched all of the videos and i am amazed! I am so interested in training dogs and have done so myself. I am actually looking for a brittany spaniel to rescue and hope to teach him/her. The only thing i have a question is....My dog will sometimes lose interest in the treats that I use, what if the dog i will be training does as well?

The positive reinforcement is the treats and praise. We did move a little fast with this video and should have slowed down and used the amount of treats and praise we usually use. We may re-shoot this video soon.

where is the positive reinforcement?

If the dog understands what's going on, then you should be able to move to the next step. With this process, you should be able to move right along. If he doesn't get what is going on, then back up before you try to move forward. He should understand to keep his feet still before you move him to the first box. He should be staying on the box before you move him to the first board, and so on. If he has a good understanding, then you shouldn't need to repeat the session.

Question: Should you repeat this session before moving on to the next? If so how often?I am in the process of training a rescued 8month GSP that was returned to the breeder after the orginally owner neglected him. I have had him for the past 2 months and just been working on socialization and basic obedience training. Fast learner, but a little stubborn. Any advice helpful. Thanks

There is a latch at the end of both ropes that we clipped to the collar.Jazz is 8 months old. I wouldn't recommend starting any earlier than this, but older is ust fine.
