I didnt hear anthing that was even close to Buddy Rich .When you hear a Buddy solo it is a whole other level of drumming .Buddy is and always will be the most gifted drummer that has ever lived.These guys are good drummers.

so wrong. both of these guys are way better than gene and buddy; why wouldn't gene play with mingus, coltrane, dolphy and the greatest players ever if he was so good... hey they all kick my ass even if i was playing piano but really gene and buddy were total thieves; the elvis' of jazz drumming... people like to pretend they were famous because of their playing instead of their color...

It's good to see all races up there. I love when Lionel is twirling his sticks when he's not playing. Like he's got all that extra energy and he doesn't know what to do with it.
