"south asia" where most of indian/pakistani culture is identified whereas "southeast asia" was always used to refer to cambodia, thailand, laos, vietnam, etc. i also made it very clear that i READ IT SOMEWHERE that he was of middle eastern descent, which is how i came to my initial conclusion. but you know, this is a public forum and if young ass illiterate kids wanna jump on and misread and get all hype over nothing, that's cool, i dont mind teaching a few of them.

race and ethnicity and nationality is a very complicated topic in general, but yes middle east does not necessarily mean india/pakistani. but people think brown people are brown people and wherever in their little minds they think brown people come from they are set on it. im sure there are people out there in the world who don't know that india is in asia, or that the middle east is in asia , africa and europe.what sparked my intial response was sri lanka being in "southeast asia" and not

Middle East doesn't necessarily mean (actually RARELY ever means) India/Pakistan region, that's a very stereotypical conception.
