Imam Bux or Bahks was known for his technical and submission prowess. During the British rule wrestling was truly a transtyle discipline. Gama was not quite a submission wrestler, but a powerful pinner and controler. His brother Imam was all that and a submission ace. This was due to the cross breeding of cultures that Indians became submission wrestlers as well. Unfortunatly, just like the death of it's western counterpart,Indian Wrestling and tradition is merely a shadow of it's glorious past.

Gene Lebell used to go around fighting real challenge matches, Gotch never did that, this match with Anoki looks stupid at best.

this guy was a master in real wrestling, developed today's mma, and legit hurt people and broke a guy's hand before having to go to japan to find work.

Gotch is the guy Furey worships who was the "God of wretling" in Japan. What he did was teach the Japs fake wrestling and worked matches. Judo makes this crap look stupid.

No, Karl is no relation to Frank.

I think he took that name to pay tribute to Frank Gotch.

Is karl gotch related to frank gotch?

Karl Gotch was unquestionably the strongest wrestler among his conpemporaries. Besides he exerted decisive influence on the Japanese pro-wrestling scene, as his serious fighting style perfectly matched the Japanese macho mentality. Truly great wrestler being enormously missed.
