Alistair Hulett at The Fraser Centre Milgavie, Scotland performing The Red Clydesiders from his 2001 song cycle Red Clydeside. The original album was recorded with Dave Swarbrick on fiddle and is available by mail order from Alistair's website on www.alistairhulett.com Red Clydeside was the name given to a workers' revolt in Glasgow during WW1 that eventually resulted in a military invasion of the city by troops dispatched from England in January 1919. John Maclean led the revolt and was jailed several times by the authorities. For more information google 'Red Clydeside'.
