The song was shot on Worli seaface promenade in South Bombay. On of the rare outdoor locations shoots you see in the movies of the time, most of the movies in those days were shot in the studios. I have stayed on Worli seaface, in one of the apartment facing the sea. brings back memories.

Fantastic song. My dad says in the 50s this song was a massive craze. All the beggars used to sing this song everyday in the Mumbai local trains with a small harmonium 9as you see on screen here)
