Crossroads is some of his best playing. I don't think he ever plays like that on his other albums. It's a shame that it's out of print. I was able to find it on halfdotcom and it was the best $5 that I've ever spent!

Eric Marienthal is waay better than kenny g. You probably said that Kenny g is better than Eric Marienthal because of this video (yeah I agree I don't like it Either) but get the album "Crossroads" by Eric Marienthal. Kenny G has Never played how Eric Marienthal played on "Crossroads"

Eric can actually play bebop. Kenny G can't. I listened to this one album where Kenny G has all of these better musicians as guest stars and David Sanborn wipes the floor with Kenny's moptop.

Recently Kenny G released a more "salsa" latin version of his own style, I think he reinvented himself; not to defend him, I still think Kenny G is kind of Cliché in his genre. Eric Marienthal is not so bad. At least he's got his own style!

Smooth jazz is okay as long as it's not Kenny G! Eric is still a good saxophone player despite playing more commercial music. David Sanborn, Grover Washington Jr., Tom Scott, just to name a few are well known for playing smooth jazz, but we know they're still monsters. Same with Eric!
