This is a Mk.IIC as I can clearly see the four 20mm cannons projecting from the wings. Awesome vid, thanks for posting!!!!!!!

He probably meant superior in performance which the Spitfire was, Spit had more scope for development. There were also twice as many Hurricanes during the battle which is why they shot more down.

What a magnificent aircraft. The commentator said the Spitfire was superior, but this is not so, as each had special features which made them famous. More German planes were shot down in the Battle of Britain by Hurricanes than Spitfires. Both these planes were blessed by having the best engine in the world - the magnificent Rolls~Royce Merlin V12, an engine that transformed the American Mustang! Rolls~Royce rules. Thank you for a magnificent video - pity the commentary was not easy to follow.

That's some decent flying right there. Not the prettiest bird around for sure, but the Merlin sounds nice! A few examples saw limited action with the Finnish Air Force during WWII. Thanks for posting!

Excellent video of an excellent aircraft. Great shots of the aerobatic routine, especially the head-on angle. Well done, chaps!
