Saw Asia less John back in the Asia in Asia tour. Saw him for the first time along with Asia AFTER almost 20 years in the US. Always great voice. Hope to see him again soon in the US! Nice to see Kobayashi-san still doing the Best Hits USA!! Thank you for putting this on!

Thank you for this wonderful post. Asia along with Yes have been my musical guiding light in times of darkness in my life for as long as I can remember. John has also come thru so much to continue to make music. Their music gives me so much, and I cannot put it in words. They came here to Orlando, Father's Day 2007 and I missed them. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE- consider a date for 2009, I will NOT miss you again. Waited my whole life! all my best and good luck to you!

What makes this band so unique is the fusion of Prog and Pop into a wonderful package of melodic and sonic bliss! This band created a new genre of music. Their sound was and still is UNIQUE. Phoenix is amazing and has something for everybody....including the 2 Prog influenced masterpieces: Sleping Giant/No Way Back/Reprise and Parallel Worlds/Vortex/Deya. I waited 23 years for them to come back, and I'm thrilled! It's a blessing!

Progressive fans want to hear only 20min long music. They don´t care about melodies, beautiful music. In their minds, if it´s not difficult to play, then it´s garbage. If you want to hear "Tophographic Oceans 2" or "Brain Salad Surgery 2", then forget about ASIA, but if you want to hear brilliant music with wonderful melodies, then I recomend their new album, Phoenix.

That's the whole point. Different....not the same. In 1983 Steve Howe did an interview where he stated "I love it when people say....Asia's not like Yes...What do you want me to say? Didn't want it to be...Why copy a formula from a previous association" Insight from the guitar master himself...maybe you should listen.
