never judge a band on hearing or seeing them once! i saw them a few times and yes one gig was lame, but the other 2 were amazing!! they are a great jazz BAND! also dont judge music by wayne shorter and herbie hancock, empirical aint no wayne or herbie but they do have their own thing, which is the actual point of music, expression not copying!

you guys sound great , but dont forget all you guys are the toast of the town while all us other cunts who can really play havent even got a manager ....part one xxx

saxophonic since you know these guys you really should be ashamed of yourself by slating them, honestly its pretty unprofessional and disrespectful to slag off such talented guys.I'm sizteen years old and you guys are killing! Your stuff is a great influence on me, and the few times that I have seen you live have been great. Cheers, p.s great bass solo!

ok, I see all the negative comments about these guys, and I have no clue why everyone dislikes them. I saw them live last night and it was so amazing, such talent. They are really amazing, I think maybe that you have to see them in person to get the whole energy of the band. Excellent performance, it made me want to go home and practice.

No actually this is absolute shit!!!Another anonymous person hiding behind their computer, not contributing but rather condemning people who are really trying to doing something. It's easer on that side of the fence hu? Those guys look great and sharp..

Yes funky monk, once again lending us your support....incidentally our past 6 or 7 gigs have sold out. I can get you on the guestlist if you want?

you aint checked out the real talent of the uk, i hear them every day as i am doing a jazz degree at trinity music college, dont look at courtney pine as he only jazz musician in the uk, ever heard of tony kofi, soweto kinch, kenny wheeler, peter king?
funkiestmonk (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
lol again pretty harsh, but i'd agree they aren't great. UK jazz needs a dose of american style disicpline in terms of arrangement, composition and technical ability, because at the moment its in a poor state, too much introspection and pretension. Empirical would do well to remember there is an audience involved in this process too.

this is absolute shit. another sad attempt at courtney pine trying to sell shit to the public. no offence guys, but lose the suits, you look like young kids trying to look old...
