Especially the town!I've been glassed, stamped on beaten on various occasions by groups of scum that get pleasure from others pain, yet when their by themselves they r friendly. They should give them drugs that make em ill when they drink or just lock em up forever, scum like this spoil the world, bring back the birch!

I am looking for pictures of the railway bridges that carried the north shore junction branch to the malleable iron works. They crossed over norton road and then church road.Any ideas?

I was born in Stockton on Tees in Park Terrace in August 1956, on the site of the Wobbly Goblin. I remember the old High Street and sadly all gone. Me, Mum and my younger Sister (in pram) used to walk from Tilery where I lived in Compton Street to Park Terrace, no cars then. Well there was for the well off, still we were happy enough. I haven'nt a car yet, just a push bike.

i know stockton well as my mother is from there, tilery.unfortunately it is a mess as oppose to the memories i have of it when i was a kid, trudging through the market on a cold wintry day, wanting to be anywhere but there!! not realising as i do now im older what a gem the market and old highstreet actually were.you can never bring back those days, just remeber them with fondness.my mum lives elsewhere now but her heart is always stocktons...

Born and raised in Stockton, got out about 6 years ago when crime took over and the place became a festering eyesore. the only fabulous market and widest high street in europe was edecimated by the labour council over about 15 years, they did things like pedestrianize it, but they used various types of unsuitable paving, modern steel work, and other badly planned ideas, basically they ruined the place. Now its not safe to go out after dark and its dominated by Chavs
