5/14 - A few years ago a portable jukebox was discovered which belonged to John Lennon in the 1960s. The jukebox conntained a tracklist of 40 records - soul, R&B and Rock 'n' Roll - written in Lennon's own handwriting. These are the songs which shaped his musical education and they reveal many of the original sources of inspiration for his later songwriting.

Isley Brother's Twist and Shout reminds me of being at the River Park Marina in 1962, after we moved here, and went to dances and movie nights. Love it!

Isley brothers recorded it before the Beatles covered it.

Even though I was born in 91', I still think listening to anything from Nas and Jay-Z, to Jesse McCartney and Lifehouse is nothing compared to this. My grandmother told me about the good old days in the 50's and I wish I had a chance to experience it!

Ok, so I make a song, from scratch. You copy it and add some here and there, and will that make you the best?
