Do yourself a favor and learn the history of the music. Contemporary American composer, Samuel Barber's ADIGIO FOR STRINGS was first heard on radio in 1938. The piece was played at the funerals of Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Prince Rainier of Monaco...also performed in 2001 at a ceremony at the World Trade Center to commemorate the thousands lost there in the September 11, 2001 attacks. It was featured in Platoon, Lorenzo's Oil & The Elephant Man films. Check Wikipedia

This is quite a masterpiece.Lux Aeterna by Clint Mansell,Agnus Dei by Samuel Barber are by far my favorite pieces of classical music. The way Adagio is played here, some parts of the song are slower paced than other versions, but it sounds great.
