the bic is fine for locks made before the big bic pen discovery. most bike u locks for bikes are now too wide for a pen or most common items that used to fit them.

What works great to but takes time to learn is useing a bic pen and a small hammer or a screwdriver hamdle. once you get yoused to the bic way it is a lot quicker then the tubluer pik. But thare is times like when i am on a job that i youse the pick.

I was thinking, and technically this should be classified called a reusable impressioning key or a decoder.

o ok thank you

They are pricey, all I can say is search the net. The only other place you might find a cheaper one is at trade show or auction some where.

ok ok thanks.. i didnt know that......do you know where i could get one of these picks for cheaper.... mayby a lock smith or something ? instead of paying 80 bones for one??

The tool is your template. After you pick the lock, measure the depth of each pick around the tool and duplicate that to a key blank.
