It's funny that the first ad in the clip is exactly the same as the last one!

hahaha i figured that out after i left the comment! but nice memories though, the adverts used to be the best thing on tv!

Hey drfrisby! Thanks for the comment! This ad break is actually split into two separate breaks around alice in wonderland! I just edited them to flow into one another on Final Cut Pro on my Mac! If an ad break lasted that long and i think we would all be bored stiff! lol :-)

I cant believe an ad break can last that long, they're normally around 3 minutes!

But.........it is refreshing to see a movie advertised without silly disclaimers like "some fanatsy violence" or "strong scenes of smoking" or some such nonsense.

Bloody hell the Masters of the Universe. My aunt took me to see that at the cinema, i have apologized many times for it too. Poor woman.

the fanta ad brings back memories.
wrestlingnewsdesk (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
why didn't you pause the tape recording while the ads came on and re record when the ad ends. but then we wouldn't have the memories.

We had this too for years and years (thanks to mum taping it when i was watching it aged 6!)Anytime i see Alice in Wonderland i still say "Oh dear i'm late/ Happy New year ..!!" Still sing those jingles too - especially the Hoseasons one!! Always loved the BA one with the evil work colleagues "he'll be hungry and tired!" Now i see it again isn't one of them Simon Shepherd??! Funny too how Chris Tarrant seems to be the VO guy on a couple of them, & i loved the walking plates when i was little!! |
