4 people died in this. I was stationed at Fairchild at the time. Col. Holland had been practicing for the air show all week and had been hot dogging all week. There were a few of us working maintenance on flight line equipment that wouldn't go out there while he was flying.

Weapons of mass destruction - MILLIONS.Weapons of mass destruction taken off the earth in this clip. - ONE!I think that was his point, ain't saying it's a valid one, but never the less. People die from WMD'S Too. Alot more people than the people that operate them.

how many people died? Why didnt the crew eject or drop out(downward ejection)?

does anyone read the article in the link??? it was part of a practice airshow... But it was still a silly thing to do, and it cost lives.

That guy was a hotdog and dangerous to boot. Other crews would say they wouldn't go with him on one of his "suicide flights". Other personnel on the ground at the base would leave when this nut decided to do his stunts. You can read about this on Wikipedia. He had numerous reprimands and a history of dangerous activity in the bomber. However he was never grounded or disciplined. I would have never gone up with that nut. Sorry for the guys who died with this fool.

Negative, the pilot was a show off with a history of breaking the rules. This would be his last stupid stunt, unfortunately he took his crew with him. Also onboard was a senior officer who was set to retire, his family watched this happen from the ground.

Actually, you're in correct. The pilot, Lt Col Holland was practicing for an Air Show and was hot dog-ing it. He routinely exceeded the tech data for for the B-52. We study this flying accident in the Air Force as an example of what happens when leadership fails to act and take accountability when they knew he was a dangerous pilot who often violated flight rules.

The pilot was banking too hard to avoid flying into restricted airspace. This gives me chills to watch.
