Baba G.A.Chishty is known as son of the soil as his tunes right from pre-partition till his death feature eastern melodies. I remember after the huge success of Punjabi Movie Heer Ranjha a famous producer came to its music director Khwaja Khrshid Anwar and requested him for music another such Punjabi movie. Khwaja sahab politely said," aray bhai ab Chishty kay paas jao, us kay paas is zameen ki mauseeqi hay" This was the biggest tribute of a legend to another and even Baba Chishty used to mention it with pride.
