...with a hood cap to cover their hair and neck, think swimming cap. so if a sister wants to go swimming or wants to be an accomplished swimmer or athlete hijab doesnt stop her. and hijab is not forced upon on anyone. it is simply between u and your creator u dont wear it for mom and dad or ur husband. hijab is in your heart and no one can force that on you. hope that helps some.Take care

Actually you can go clubbing and you can go swimming... but why the heck would you go clubbing for with hijab on it doesnt make sense. you go to a club to attract attention to yourself hijab keeps a woman modest in her appearance. a hijabi doesnt want random dudes staring at her etc... so if a hijabi doesnt want random dudes on her back she wont go to a place inviting that you know wat i mean. and as for swimming there are new bathing suits for modest woman think surfer/diver suits but looser..

Of course it restricts..dont lie..you cant swim,go clubbing,enter many places and people stare..that is restrictive..to your soul..you KNOW you dont have as many options as other women..its a male thing..stopping us frm expressing ourselves so they can keep acting like animals and fantasising about other women who dont wear the tudung..women..please stop pretending you know it is FORCED unfairly.

Do you make a habit of taking everything out of context? In Islam we are supposed to follow the Ulamaa and the respected scholars. The Quran clearly stated and 'that which is apparent'. I, do not have the appropriate knowledge to interpret that in my own meaning' If you think you do, that's your call. So we turn to the respected scholars. And they all agreed on that which is called 'motafeq Alih'. I'm sure you want to take what I said out of context too.

Who is in the wrong here? The man who look at with lust at a woman wearing less clothings or a woman wearing less clothings that "caused" a man to look on with lust? Inasmuch I am a man, I can tell you whatever clothing or how many layers of clothings a woman put on, IT IS THE FAULT OF THE MAN (ME) FOR LOOKING AT A WOMAN WITH LUST

As recklessRembrandt mentioned we do not interpret it blindly. "Except what is apparent" has been interpreted by the majority of respected scholars as the face and the hands.
