its called the Erhu. its a chinese musical instrument, so i don't think it has a english name for it though.

meeee toooo......omg...hayao what a beautiful person...I am american and I am proud....but I wish americans could put art before commerce...don't they see the way it affects how we think,....we think in terms of bad vs good...winner vs loser..good vs evil.his movies show just how complex the world is..and that its people and their choices of chooisng the best side of themselves...if more movies work made like miyazaki's people would be more compassionate and understanding..
