rek is a great songwriter and performer. one thing i really appreciate is his ability to talk and connect with audiences. another great thing is that he doesn't change the vocal melodies on his songs very much for live performances. the instrumentation is inventive enough to stay interesting and fresh but close to the wonderfully-produced originals. he really should get more credit. influencers aren't always as popular as the people that they influence, sadly. pat green is a huge rek fan btw.

the thing that i hate (and yes...i'm using the word hate) is that people get on the internet and say "i miss real country". if you ask me, those individuals refuse to listen to anyone other than the artists GAC and CMT tells them to like! if you really want country, it's out their; you just have to know where to look....aka NOT on GAC or CMT.
