Use the smaller needle on the sole and the larger on the top of the foot - then the sole will be slightly denser fabric which will also wear better. So yes, you can use this combination.

Thanks for posting this. It's very helpful!I have one pair of US 6 circ needles and one pair of US7 circ needles. Would it be very bad to use them both with this technique? Or are they close enough and will it all even out "in the wash"?

Hello Cat! I took your advice and went to the website in Oregon addineedleshop(dot)com to order my Turbos. They arived safely in the UK today and have been already been set to work. What a difference they make! Far superior to the bamboo ones I used and, happily, the Turbos don't split the wool. Lovely to work with.

Thank you for posting this video!!! I cast on some stitches and followed along after watching this once and I think I'll start using my double-pointed needles to hold up the flowers in my garden this spring.

Many thanks for your speedy reply. Will go to the website straight away. Thank you for teaching me to use two circular needles!

I suggest you go to the addineedleshop(dot)com to order the needles I use - Addi Turbo Needles, which have a pliant cable and very smooth joins. This website (in Oregon) ships needles internationally without charging for shipping, because they don't weigh much. |
