which line is this? Are the new trains called the M7s?

all the m1's are retired now....the differences....the m1's didn't have a seat and window blocked out for equipment...there conductors window opened up and down, not horizontally...there were no rivots all around the doors...and to me they were smoother than the m'3 which is kind of bouncy.....nothing like the original 1968 blue stripe trains that i grew up on....I do have an car number sign form one of the original trains...# 9293..

M-1's have air conditioners in the center of their cars where there would a seat and they also have other minor differences. The doors, for instance are sealed in areas where the M-1's weren't so that cold winter air won't come in. I pay attention to these things being that I am a train buff, LOL. I hope this helps |
