I work next to a small airstrip and sometimes a jet lands there and I tell my friends that it smells like freedom, I remember them jets burning that JP5 on the cat.

in 01 I was in Perth, I was in the subway and this kid asked me if I was from the ship, told them yes and since the next day was my duty day I told them to come down and i would give them a special tour, I took that kid everywere, even inside one of our jets, I know he will never forget that.

My Father surved on that ship! for a couple of Years! all I know is that he was the Safety Officer and did the Tiger cruize! When I was a Kid! anyone. His Name was "CDR. Mike Brattland!" All I know is he has all good storys about this Ship.
