Chicane is not just a DJ and producer. He is Nick Bracegirdle, a very talented musician. He does actually compose and play. That is why his material is in a league of it's own.

Personally mate i reckon you've over anaylised this a little too much. Each to their own though buddy. Either way, classic tune, timeless and fresh even by todays standards!

It's strange how a song with no words can convey so much emotion. Unlike some trance and prog. house out there that overwhelms you with emotion to the point of cheesiness, Chicane finds a perfect, subtle balance in this song. Personally, when I hear this song and reflect on my own life, it tells me that life will be hard, but it's subtle uplifting melody conveys an underlying positive feeling that tells me everything will be ok, and that life is beautiful, and worth living. |
