Footnote: Even though the much heralded computer models predict an Earth as hot as a baboons arse in the midday sun in 50 years time they're still not much good at telling you what the weather is going to be like tomorrow. Yesterday the BBC said it was going to be sunny and warm and sure enough It's freezing and pissing down with rain.

You're wasting your time trying to convert 'believers' into 'deniers' with facts and figures. Every real climate event that would suggest we've got nothing to worry about, e.g. record early snowfalls in the US and Europe this year will be either suppressed or spun as further 'evidence' of AGW. Whereas a bit of drought in Australia will be billed everywhere as a catastrophe and a sign of imminent armageddon. All complete cock I know, but that's what you're up against.

Just because your opinions go against the establishment and you fancy yourself as a 'free thinker' doesn't mean you are right or clever.Independent research has built a robust model showing that humans are having an adverse affect on the climate. The evidence is consistent and reliable. Perhaps 10 years ago, you could have some credibility as a skeptic. To questions AGW now only shows that you don't understand climate science, and that you don't follow the research journals.

Before you do...Sun's effect on climate change/warming since 1970 - Potential total contribution: UV irradiance <30% variability of solar total irradiance <30% cosmic ray flux <15%Source: SOLAR TOTAL AND SPECTRAL IRRADIANCE MODELING AND A POSSIBLE IMPACT ON CLIMATE(Ktivova/Solanki: ESA SP, 535, 275-284)Publication: JOURNAL OF GEOPHYSICAL RESEARCH, VOL. 108, NO. You make the claim - produce the evidence. Just how has the sun changed? Just how does that. or the sun generally, influence the climate changes observed? I am yet to see someone produce - maybe you'd be so kind.
christoroyah (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
a simple question: CO2 is ~.1% of the atmosphere even after the 'catastrophic increase' over the last century. the sun is a million mile wide nuclear furnace, source of all energy on the earth not from the cooling core. which do u think plays a larger role in heating the planet? most environmentalists are scientifically illiterate feelgood crusaders. gore et al are psychological terrorists who exploit the fearful and ignorant masses. bet osama wishes he could terrify the western world so well
euphemus2 (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
We've been through this before - before you say it again get some facts to support your claims.Idiot.
euphemus2 (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
QuantumC,Have you looked at the graphs you disingenuously produce to back your allegation? No? How did I guess? I have seen them: they don't come out in support of your argument. This is the second time in a week I've come across you, and each time I am a little less staggered by your abject stupidity. I hope I don't reach the point where I am no longer affected by it - its so monumental I would have to be dead to avoid it.You are a bias little sniper - get off troll and get an education.

Sir David should be ashamed of himself! THe world has been cooling for 3 years! Man does not affect the world climate.
jwezel (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
Can you dumb sheeps engage some brain cells and admit that CO2 is a function of heat and not the other way round? No, I see it's impossible. Sheep like you deserve Adolf Obama. |
