we really cant blame gwen, if i had a talent i could make money off of, i sure as hell would.nature of the beast.poe & gwen, 2 beautiful blondes w beautiful voices, only thing is, poe sounds and is intelligent.gwen is pure fluff, kind of like cardigans, lovefool.i could b wrong but i beleive gwen was not above 'compromising' herself in order 2 make it, and she did.poe did not..

Personally, I like Fiona too, and I def like Alanis a lot (more then than now), but they all have a disticnt style. Alanis had a provocative angry tone to start, then she broke out of the closed verse format in Infatuation Junkie. Fiona has a much more jazzy sound, but it works, too. Poe has a distinct voice, and a very "cynical" attitude in her verse. I like all of the above, though. But Gwen Stefani is completely out of that league, more in Avril Levigne's territory now.

Yes, anyone with more than half a college degree can tell she is smarter than Gwen, and anyone who is attracted to women can tell she is much hotter. Robzilla-- what seperates her from Fiona, Alanis, Sheryl Crow? I don't think a whole lot, but I also don't think there is a saturation of smart, hot 90's angst songtrresses. I wouldnt mind finding a few more to download. So I think you are right to peg them in the same genre, but personally, I'm not too tired of such music to buy more.

i know poe, i love poe, i want 2 give her the benefit of the doubt.but i need 2 know, from u fanboys, etc (fullery).what, separates her from anyother 90's angst-ridden songstress?how is she different from fiona apple or alanis morissete??we know she's @ least 100x smarter than gwen,but...

At least Poe never sold her soul to make a record that could be played in the dance clubs... Gwen Stefani lost all my respect with "Hella Good." She pales in comparison. No doubt.Best part of this song is "mothers are trails on stars in the night//fathers are black holes that suck up the light." Gwen Stefani couldn't dream up lines like that if her Source awards depended on it.
