THE ACCIDENT IS IN THIS VIDEO. Please be warned, you may not want to watch it. AMV to pay respect to an amazing horse and to send out a message. Icare d'Auzay hesitated at the infamous fence 'Vicarge Vee'. The flag broke in half, spearing him near his stifle. He could not be saved despite huge efforts made and being rushed to an equine hospital.I made this video for two reasons, and those reasons only. #1, I, as most others would agree, never want to see anything like this happen to a horse or rider, and so want to send out the message to all eventing competitions to change to the new flexible flags. #2, Icare d'Auzay was a remarkable horse who loved his job. He deserves to be remembered. Thanks,Clips curtosy of Argipena and the BBC. Thanks.

its sad that the accident could have been prevented. he was deffinately a true champ! even though he was hurt he went on, not because he had to bc the rider was trying to slow him down but you could see that he wanted to, and thats speical in a horse.

Yes it was blood, he jumped the fence at an angle which caused his injuries, if you read the video description --> it explains it.
