this looks really fun, i dont know why my kendo/chanbara friend says eskrima looks like neanderthal swordsmanship when this looks similar to fma. anyway, it was fun to watch :D

no. it aint. its called sports chanbara. sword is made from tube and skin, its inflatable. and the sword's weight is about half of whats used in kendo. lighter weight, more fast response requires. does not hurt as much, get bruised though. this sports requires less preparation compare to kendo in regards to wardrobe. helmet and sword. if you ever swing by tokyo, visit us with your t-shirts. lets play.
