Arguably the greatest operatic lead actress in visually-recorded history. I am always enthralled by her dramatic interpretations, which are usually dead-on (no pun intended). Perhaps she should not have tried too many soprano roles, but we are lucky to have such fantastic archives of her talent nonetheless..
