Hey, I have an idea. Lets compare an ultralight sportscar tuned for the track with absolutely nothing in it but power windows against a fully loaded stock mustang with a suspension built for comfort and street tires and costs less than half the price and use it as an example of how British engineering is superior to American. Hmmmmm. Perhaps you would like to try your luck against a Viper or ZR1? No? Didn't think so.

I wouldn't say the new Mustang is "built for speed". It's actually a pretty mild car. My dad's 6,000 lb 4-door diesel pickup is faster. The Mustang is a relatively heavy cruiser that was designed to be livable for everyday use while having a bit more power than the average car. The Mustang as 4 seats and a useable trunk. The Lotus totally different in nearly every way.

The mustang is not a sports car. Its a coupe that can be used as a small family car. As it has been said before this was not a fair comparison...Next time go up against a Corvette. |
