i dunno about that.. the main reaosn it was popular was because if the glamour in hindi movies and the high budget and foriegn locations which made picturisation awesome.. but recently tamil movies have the highest budgets like sivaji and dasavataram.. and in any case the greatest indian movie of all time was a south movie called nayagan (mani ratnam and kamal hassan).. its actually in the top 100 greatest movies of all time in the wordl as well - times
