Omega are ok in their class but the quality are not the best. Omega uses pins for the links, the steel is not the best quality, the bezel feels cheap.

Excellent review, very practical

Nah...not planet ocean. The exact model of this one should be the 2254.50.00

hey could you help me out, i can not find this watch on the omega website...i can definitely see the normal black Seamaster Professional Diver in there, but the face is completely different... The titanium version face if more like it, but then the bezel is very different...What is the exact name of this watch as stated on the Omega website?
lobzdik (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
what year watch is this?cause the watch on the omega website has a very different face and the font on this bezel is also different...

The new Bond Planet Ocean is pretty nice too, but looks a lot like this Seamaster. Smaller triangle 12 marker, different arms, co-axial movement. I really like this version of the Seamaster, but I think it's in the process of being updated (re: discontinued). I've been told both by Omega dealers and designer watch stores that Omega is changing this model's movement to a co-axial movement - which will bump the price point up by about $1000 or more.

Wow, you are right, thats def not Planet Ocean. Sorry about that. I thought I looked at all Omega watches and I've never seen those numbers so big, I noticed tons of fakes had them like that. Notice how the first 6 of those 9 look. I thought it was Planet Ocean because thats the new Bond watch, but I guess this is also is? Now I don't know which I like more, watch 3/9 (which is a black version of the Goldeneye watch), or watch 1/13 Planet Ocean.

I don't think that this is the Planet Ocean model. You might want to take a look at Omega's site. This particular model is a 300m self winding Seamaster Chronometer and shows up on page 9 of the seamaster 300m chrono range. Planet Ocean is up there as well, in a separate category. Just an FYI. |
