But in the periods where America practised protectionism its economy had by far the highest growth.How are people more enslaved if you work for a democraticly elected government then if you work for a corporation that are run by and generate profit for a few rich people?

I contest that war actually drains resources and forces the state to enslave citizens more. Sure, some sectors of the economy might increase, but in the long-run it truly stunts growth and completely diverts feedback and capital from means that have lower opportunity costs. I actually believe war is BAD for the economy in the short and long run.....even if SOME people are better off.

What was behind the black Tuesday was the over speculation of stocks, you can say whatever you like but it dose not make it less true. According to your "version" of history what saved America from the Great depression, it couldn't have been the "commando economy" during the war could it?

What caused the dollar fluctuation on Black Tuesday? The Federal Reserve admitted to causing the Great Depression!!! I am NOT making this up! Government intervention is what led us into that MAJOR problem just like they are doing it still today!watch?v=YxHhAQgyr1g
