the essense of the song is the same in both hindi and tamil...just singing about the sky, moon, clouds and rain, and relating them to people...

Well I am not a tamilian, but know enough to understand that - he was praising Ilayaraja, about how they had to do so many takes to get the guitar piece - music is pure blues - reminded him of being New Orleans - and that Raja's composition is so good that there is not a single wasted note and finally - he jokes that if he starts talking about Ilayaraja he can go on for ages - growing beard like Tagore...
