Look--We all know Elvis had a prescrpt drugproblem.Yes,he had various medical issues.Andhe had emotional issues with his personal&professional life.He wasn't that HAPPY.He needed a change,but coudn't find it.A LOT of people made money off of Elvis.Still do,but Elvis didn't care.He wanted loyalty,friendshipHe needed someone strong in his life to set him straight.Not yes men!But what can U do?It's funny,today's celebs are surrounded bypaps,Elvis was surrounded by fans.Funny huh?

So, give me a list of the books I SHOULDN'T believe since you're such an authority on who is telling the truth and who isn't. I'll happily supply a list of all the titles I've read. I'm interested in knowing whose books you'll strike down as lies. You haven't read much if you've only read Guralnick's & Schilling's.

Just give Elvis a break and lets not say he had something when we can't prove it. Fair enough. Cuz if not this debate could go on and on. The best thing you can do is let it go.

But, isn't Guralnick's work hearsay, as you've stated that my comments are? Where do you get YOUR information if it isn't from books? Where do any fans get their information? I trust the word of those who were CLOSEST to Elvis. Guralnick interviewed Red West & Lamar Fike for much of his info. Those were the main ones who betrayed Elvis.
