it is so ironic that the greatest Christian sanctuary "Sofia" features some Islamic architectural character at the exterior..the pendentive dome was adopted popularly during the renaissance and later utilized by the Americans constructing the famous Washington capitol..the islam had their own version of the onion shaped pendentive known as the bulbous dome popularly used in building mosques...

I would compare him to their others and say he's decent. This is a good series if you look at one like the Hitler one about his architecture where they spend enormous time TRASHING him for planning to build Germania. It was naueating for someone who loves culture of that sort.I'd rather them have gotten a more heartier kind of guy if they wanted those kinds of quips, but all the same I think this is one of their best series mainly because they dont focus on BS like human rights too much.

i disagree the host is refreshingly entertaining, i think he brings a personal, humane approach to history...funny how people disagree, lets fight it out at the Hippodrome!
