Heck what about this year when Hamilton somehow managed to drive right up his backside?!?! That Renault isn't that slow. Yeah Lewis should have managed to dodge that one but how did he close up so fast on "Fred"? It's like he's gone to the Micheal Schumacher school of driving. If you can't beat them put them off the track (ie JPM).

Alonso was slow out of goddards and moved across on the much faster Mansell, it was FA's fault, he was only 19 at the time though, he doesnt have any excuse of his antics last year

2 cars of almost identical performance with 2 fast drivers should come out of a corner at the same speed, or at least close enough that the gap going into the corner does not get closed up so much that they collide. Therefore the explanation is that Alonso didnt accelerate out of the corner as Mansell would expect him to in a race condition, (ie. as fast as possible). Therefore it was Alonso's unexpected (or possibly bad) driving that caused the crash.
