AMD is history, they are going "asset smart", which perhaps is another definition for fabless. That puts them behind intel 1-2 generations.

...This is pretty stupid. Why would you remove the heatsink AND cooling fan while it's running? It's been said before, processors are designed to fun with heatsinks. So... yea. Plus, how do we know this isn't bias, those could be overclocked. And plus with the temperature rising that high for the AMDs, that doesn't seem correct...

Not really, AMD makes good processors but the race for overall speed goes to Intel and there QX line of microchip cpu's.

this is stupid the processor are design to have heatsink so they wont overheat! Old AMD dont have that design.. try newer once it will simply outrun the intel...AMD now are leading

These are all old CPU's. If you take off the heatsink of a new CPU it will simply stop working because the thermal sensor's will stop it from working. New CPU's will not break/smoke if the heatsink is taken off, just simply will not work until the heatsink is placed back.

desktop processors are overkill and power drainers, laptop chips with same frequencies can outperform desktops, just with the reduced heat issues alone, desktop chips have a 65w to 130w TDP laptops range from 1 watt to 25w tops! desktop chips are useless overkill power inefficient and a dying breed if you take a good look.
