I have to say hands down this album is the best socially conscious album ever made, whats so scary is that the words in his songs still stands true today. The messages on war, racism and socio-economic divide that he sang about is still holding true in 2008. This music is beautiful and haunting as well to me, but all so true.

6:32 on..You hear James Jamerson at his best with Marvin..A classic. The cut time of James' bass playing into between Marvin's lyrics are superb. The record is prophetic. The funk brothers compliment this piece to the letter. I love the trademark congas Marvin made famous on most of his recordings.

I believe if he was still alive; O.J would be released on judicial and prosecutorial misconduct, and Obama would be the 44th president. Yes, straight forward movement. Marvin cared about people. His latest songs were strictly about justice. I will write about all of these giants soon. War is hell when it end; when will people start to get together again. What's happening brother?
