a CEO must take a pay cut if they force labor to

I might suggest to the Pilots that they get rid of the 'datal seniority' concept as that will make it more easy for them to change jobs. This means that they can change to other employers that will pay more.

Guess what!? If there weren't the hourly working peons showing up for work every day, all these grand, risk-taking ideas (which don't exist) would never come to fruition!

That's the difference right there. UK BASED group. People here in America, especially Corporate America, are very greedy. Maxcontinuous here hit the nail on the head. Grats on being chairman, but this is a biased argument and I cannot proceed the point further.

It could be the case in this instance that the CEO is didn't own the company right off the bat, but the vast majority of CEO's are the founders of the companies they lead. As the owner and chairman of a UK based group I do know the in's and out's as it where of corporate structure. Its not greedy to benefit from the fruits of your own labour. It IS this methodology that underpins western society. Case by case it may not always apply, and of course employee satisfaction is fundamental to success.

chilledandyThe CEOs' of today did not start, build or risk anything involving the mentioned company. At my airline, the CEO walked in, raped the company and walked out with a pillow case full of cash elevating his salary by 600%. I am sorry, but todays corporate greed is disgusting. I would agree with the premise of your comments a few years ago but I don't believe they apply to this generation.

Wow. You really dont seem to know wtf you are saying. CEO's dont "own" companies right off of the bat. They usually run the companies along with a board of directors. They own some stock which allows them to have some ownership of the comp. On that note, it just shows the greediness of people. The leadership qualities need to promote healthy worker attitudes instead of distrust and distaste. Either you are some rich person who never understood this, or you just say dumb stuff.
chilledandy (May 4, 2008 at 12:34 pm)
Why shouldn't they? They own and build the companies, its up to them how they pay themselves. The companies theirs to do with as they please. The employess having to take a pay cut has nothing to do with it. The two things are in no way related. Employees are merely tools within a company, they can be replaced easily and like wise they can move on easily if they are not happy.

Thats not the point. CEO's shouldnt take elite compensation packages when everyone else takes a cut. It's bullshit, you god damned idiot
