And ministers of the gospel. Regardless of the smokescreens of the Obama campaign we are to preach "out of season" the gospel. This season many are more political than Biblical. Many went to hell during the Civil Rights Era. We are to proclaim Jesus regardless of our political environment. What happened to the song "I'd rather have Jesus, more than anything"? I guess that has gone under the bus for a political candidate!

Christ centered preaching as far as I understand it to be is preaching that is centered on the person and majesty of God/Christ which is God exalting and brings the congregation into the intellectual engagement of understanding God. God must be worshipped in Spirit (born again) and Truth (correct doctrine). Christ centered preaching leaves God to do the converting/transforming of the soul instead of novel ideas that actually work against God's purpose in preaching which is why the Church needs

I can't believe that Catholics and the Evangelicals seem to be sitting out this election ... just don't seem to care that Obama, who enthusiastically votes for the most BRUTAL kinds of late-term abortion, may get into the Oval Office.Have Christians just walked away from their values? Does no one think this is important?Yet the Black churches, and the Nation of Islam, are screaming from their pulpits that Obama is the Messiah -- literally, using those words!We MUST stop this EVIL!

terminat1, I do agree with many things you said, my point is that many folk have unwittingly made the church itself an idol unto the lord by obeying the law of man instead of God. You have done right in doing your homework and reading your bible, however, many people do not do that, instead they go on whatever the church says is true. The holy spirit will tell you what is right for you and where you are in your walk. I'm glad you did not judge but used scripture. I like to observe Sat. sabbath.
