Bach wrote this piece when he was 20 - 21 years old. At 20 he reacheed immortality, something most of us will never accomplished. This violent and dramatic masterpiece is said to have been used by Bach as a "tester" of organs, hence the fermatas, the dualing manuals... all who demand great enginering from the organ. (Bach was an organ maste and expert in his 20's).Bach is The Man, and should be our musical human embassador to aliens when we meet them!

This is of course excellent playing by K. Richter. He was an honored composer and music-expert in his time. Too bad he died so young in 1981. The world will miss Karl Richter, I am sure.

karl is a master, his way of playing the organ is impressive.karl is an example to follow, no anyone compares to this unique way of playing this beautiful instrument.
