i knew about lighting a LED with a potato, but a microcontroller with all kinds of other fruits, cool. a new power source for my projects. now i just need to start a garden, funny.

They have a development kit for $20 if you are interested. Plus you can get free samples in DIP package.

There is no schematic. Simply string 3 pairs of zinc and copper leads (or heavy gauge wire) in series and hook into power pins on any MSP430 eval board running the Real Time Clock code you can download from the TI website. Thats it.

reference design or schematic? (or as the internet meme goes, "or it didn't happen")Seriously, do you run that into an SMPS, or what? Or do you actually get >= 1.8V and a couple of milliwatts out of the grape?Just curious.

As my power source, I decided to do a little experiment; using a piece of my finger. It did not work.
